For dropzones and parachute riggers
Reserve repack and AAD due dates for every rig on the dropzone
RigDue is a gear log for skydiving dropzones and parachute riggers that tracks the 180-day reserve repack date, the AAD service and end-of-life dates and the main canopy jump count on every student, rental and tandem rig, and who has which rig out today.
Rig sheet in, board up the same afternoon. $19 a month after 14 days.
Per rig
The reserve, the AAD, the main, and whoever has it
- Reserve repack due board
- Every rig by days until its reserve is due. Overdue in red at the top, inside 30 days in amber, the rest by date. Log a repack against the rig and the next due date is set 180 days out, with the rigger's name and certificate number on the entry.
- AAD service and end-of-life dates
- The Cypres, Vigil or other AAD on each rig, with its serial, next maintenance date and end-of-life date, on the same board as the reserve. You enter the dates from the manufacturer; RigDue keeps them from going stale.
- Student and rental check-out
- A rig goes out to a named student or renter and comes back with the jumps made. Grounded rigs, and rigs with an overdue reserve or AAD, can't be handed out. Jumps are added to the main canopy's count, so the canopy you meant to retire at 1,000 gets flagged at 975.

What one rig's card holds
The due board is these cards sorted by whatever comes first. Until now the same four things were on a packing data card, a whiteboard, a tally sheet and in the gear room's memory.

- The reserve date: inside the reserve flap on the packing data card, so the rig that went past 180 days is found at the gear check on the busiest Saturday of the year.
- The AAD dates: on a whiteboard that was last wiped in the spring, though Cypres and Vigil each set a maintenance date and an end-of-life date.
- The jump count: on a tally sheet, so the main that should have been relined at 1,000 jumps is still on the line at 1,300.
- Who has it: in the gear room's memory, which can't say whether the grounded rig got handed out anyway.
A Saturday
What the board does between the gear check and the last load
- 7:30
Gear check
The gear room opens the due board. Rental B shows its reserve ten days overdue, so it stays on the shelf; the board won't let it be checked out. Everything else is green or amber, and amber still flies.
- 9:10
First load
Student rigs go out to named students, rental rigs to named renters. One tap per check-out. The board now shows who has what, and the manager can see it from the manifest desk or the phone.
- Lunch
The rigger
The rigger drops off two repacked reserves and logs them on the way out: date, certificate number, done. Both rigs jump to a due date 180 days out and go back into service by themselves.
- 4:30
Last load down
Rigs come back in with the number of jumps made. Each main's count ticks up, and the one that's now 15 jumps from its limit gets an amber flag for Monday's order.
The manager signs up and invites the rigger and the gear room. Riggers edit the reserve and AAD side of the rigs assigned to them and log repacks. The gear room checks rigs out and in and can't change a date.

Riggers and DZOs ask
Before you add the first rig
- Is the 180-day reserve repack cycle built in?
- Under 14 CFR 91.307, a reserve on a rig used in the US must have been packed by a certificated rigger within the previous 180 days. RigDue counts 180 days from each logged repack and flags the rig 30 days before it's due and again the day it goes over.
- Does RigDue know the Cypres or Vigil service and end-of-life dates?
- No. Those dates come from the manufacturer and the unit's own paperwork, and you enter them per rig. RigDue puts them on the same board as the reserve date so they stop living on a whiteboard.
- What happens when a rig goes past its repack date?
- It shows as overdue on the due board, and the gear room can't check it out until a repack is logged or the manager changes the date. Nothing is deleted or locked; the record is flagged.
- What does the import need from my rig spreadsheet?
- A header row. RigDue reads the columns it recognises: rig, use, container, reserve, last repack, reserve due, AAD, AAD service due, AAD end of life, main, jumps. A rig with a last repack date and no due date gets one 180 days later. The rig list and the repack log export to CSV from the due board.
- Can my rigger use it from another dropzone?
- Each rigger login belongs to one dropzone account. A rigger who packs for several dropzones gets a login at each, with a repack log per dropzone. A shared cross-dropzone list isn't built.
- Where does manifest software fit?
- Nowhere near this. Loads, bookings, waivers and payments stay in Burble or whatever runs manifest. RigDue holds the equipment records next to it: rigs, repacks and who has what.
- Does it store student or renter data?
- Only a name on each check-out. There are no fields for medical details, dates of birth or payment information, and we ask you not to put them in notes.

Know which rigs are due before the load, not after
Paste the rig sheet, enter the dates from the data cards, and the board is up the same afternoon. Invite the rigger and the gear room when you're ready.
